Sometimes it's easier to connect with students if they know a little about the teacher as a person. I joined the OA
social studies faculty in November, 2005. Prior to OA, I taught for 10+ years in public, private, and charter schools as
well as in an Americorps program called City Year. I help coach the soccer, wrestling, lacrosse, and mock trial teams, and
I am serving as the faculty advisor to the Student Council. Rumor has it there might be an Ultimate Frisbee Team starting
up, which I will support as well. I have a strong commitment to teaching in and out of the classroom, and whenever possible
to support your extracurricular activities (sports, plays, concerts, shows, competitions...). Our school's culture is both
interesting and important to me.
Personally, I live in Stoughton.
I am married and we have 2 daughters (Madeline and Julia), who you will undoubtedly meet at some school event. My life revolves
around my family, and I will bring up observations and stories occasionally that connect and include them in our class.
I look forward to getting to know each of you as a student and as a person.
